What do you Need to Know

In today's markets, almost everything's price is determined through the interaction of the market forces of supply and demand. Everything from currencies to commodities, stocks and even indexes futures is being traded.
Internationally, four basic types of markets can be identified:

1. Currencies markets
2. Commodities markets
3. Capital markets
4. Indexes Futures markets

The purpose of trading on any market is to buy low and sell high. In other words, any trader would want to buy before the prices go up, or sell before prices go down and make profit.

Moreover, in any of these markets, trading can take place on spot (over the counter basis) or on futures basis, and therefore it is more than crucial to know the difference between spot transaction and futures transactions.
